Policy for Donated Items

              Donated Items Policy
Your donated items will go where they are needed the most.

                                               Most donated items will be
                                                       placed in a book sale

to help raise money for the libraries.

Keep in mind that, like you, we also must remove items from our collection from time to time.  The space and time needed to deal with them are limited, so we cannot accept items in poor condition or are unlikely to sell.. Items deemed a good addition to the collection will be cataloged and shelved at one of our branches, not necessarily the one where the item was donated.

We make every effort to provide a balanced, up-to-date collection in good condition for all ages, one that includes popular fiction, non-fiction in a wide range of subjects, classics, reference materials, and other items which will serve the needs and varied interests of all patrons throughout our district.

To help defray the substantial costs of purchasing, cataloging, processing and maintaining a collection that reflects good literary standards,

we are happy to accept donated items in good condition.
